Mohamed Abdelgawad Hassan

Eng. Abdelgawad has over 25 years of experience in environment consultancy. He has a proven track record in successfully starting up sustainable businesses as Co-founder of Komex Egypt (1997 – Environment, Social, & Water Resources Consultancy) developing it into a high profile regional franchise with other business partners in the Middle East and North Africa.  Post-acquisition of Komex by WorleyParsons in 2006, Eng. Abdelgawad was appointed MENA Regional Director for environment and water resources at WorleyParsons, playing a key role in starting up WorleyParsons operations in Egypt and North Africa (2006 – 2013) across different sectors including Upstream/Downstream Hydrocarbons, Infrastructure, Environment, Power, Minerals, Metals, and Chemicals.

Eng. Abdelgawad has extended experience in executing, managing and directing environmental projects across the MENA region including Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE dealing with the technical, B2B and B2G business aspects of any project model.
